FAQ

Why coconut wax?

Coconut wax is made from coconuts, which are organic and sustainable source (re-grow quickly). Provides a clean and slow burn, has a creamy and gorgeous texture, gives a lovely scent throw, it’s natural, non-toxic and skin safe.

Any tips for burning your candles?

-We recommend burning your candle from 3-5 hours each lighting and allow the melt pool to reach the edges of the container to prevent tunneling.

-Always, always trim your wick before each burn to 1/4”

-Burn candles on a clean, flat surface out of direct sunlight and away from children, pets and flammable materials.

Are your candles vegan/cruelty free?

Yes! No animal products are used in our candles, and no animal testing is done by us or our suppliers. Our Coconut wax is free from stearic acid (sourced from animal fat and used to harden wax) as well as from beewax.

Are your wicks lead free?
Yes, we only use cotton wicks.

How long do your candles last?

9 oz candle = approx. 45-50 hours burn time.

3 oz tin candle = approx. 12-15 hours burn time.

Make sure not to burn our candles for longer than 5 hours each lighting to prevent overheating.

Can your jars be reused?

Yes! When your candle has finished, simply set the jar in hot water or a warm oven until the left over wax melts. Pour the leftover wax into the garbage and wash the container with soap and warm water. Do not pour wax down the drain - it can clog pipes. Also, please use an oven mitt to handle the hot jar.  Another way is to place the candle jar in the freezer for a couple of hours and pop the wax out with a knife (carefully), clean the vessel and reuse.

What size candle do I need for my room?

Our 9 oz candles work great in small to medium sized areas like kitchens and bedrooms. Really large rooms or with high ceilings or open floor plan homes will need multiple candles. Our 3 oz candles are recommended for small rooms.

If you're having a difficult time smelling the fragrance, you may be using the candle in too large of an area.

Why is my jar turning black?

If the candle wick develops a mushroom carbo tip (soot), extinguish the candle, allow it to cool and trim the wick. Always trim the wick to 1/4" before each burn to ensure your candle burns evenly and prevents excess wick debris from falling into the candle.
