FAQ

Why coconut apricot wax?

Coconut wax is made from coconuts, which are organic and sustainable sourced (re-grow quickly). Provides a clean and slow burn, has a creamy and gorgeous texture, gives a lovely scent throw, it’s natural, non-toxic and skin safe.
Apricot wax is also an organic and sustainable and high-end clean burning wax. The oil to produced it, is extracted via cold press from the apricot kernel and, it has the capacity to beautifully balance our coconut wax. Skin safe and nourishing.

Any tips for burning your candles?

-We recommend burning your candle from 4-5 hours each lighting to allow the melt pool to reach the edges of the container and prevent tunneling.

-Always, always trim your wick before each burn to 1/4”

-Burn candles on a clean, flat surface out of direct sunlight and away from children, pets and flammable materials.

Are your candles vegan/cruelty free?

Yes! No animal products are used in our candles, and no animal testing is done by us or our suppliers. Our coconut apricot wax is free from stearic acid (sourced from animal fat and used to harden wax) and beewax.

Are your wicks lead free?

Yes, we only use cotton wicks.

How strong are your scents?

We are constantly experimenting with different formulas to bring you the best possible experience to your senses. Our scents are all-natural strong but not overwhelming.

How long do your candles last?

9 oz candle = approx. 55-65 hours burn time

6 oz candle = approx. 35-40 hours burn time

3 oz travel tin candle = approx. 12-15 hours burn time

Make sure not to burn our candles for longer than 5 hours each lighting to prevent overheating.

 Are your candles skin safe?

Yes, they are! You can massage or rub the melted wax (please be careful with the flame) or cold wax and it will leave your skin moisturized and with a lovely scent.

Can your jars be reused?

Yes! When your candle has finished, simply set the jar in hot water or a warm oven until the left over wax melts. Pour the leftover wax into the garbage and wash the container with soap and warm water. Do not pour wax down the drain - it can clog pipes. Also, please use an oven mitt to handle the hot jar.  Another way is to place the candle jar in the freezer for a couple of hours and pop the wax out with a knife (carefully), clean the vessel and reuse.

What size candle do I need for my room?

Our 9 oz and 6 oz candles work great in large to medium sized areas like living rooms, kitchens and bedrooms. For extra large rooms with high ceilings or open floor plan homes you may need multiple candles, it all depends on your taste.

Our 3 oz candles are recommended for small rooms. Although, they can work perfectly in medium sized areas.

If you're having a difficult time smelling the fragrance, you may be using the candle in too large of an area.

Why is my jar turning black?

If the candle wick develops a mushroom carbo tip (soot), extinguish the candle, allow it to cool and trim the wick. Always trim the wick to 1/4" before each burn to ensure your candle burns evenly and prevents excess wick debris from falling into the candle.
